prelude

________________________ prelude "Of all the emotions a person can feel, love is scariest and hardest to heal." - David Charlton ________________________ Meeting you became an unknown curse, shrouded and disguised by your sweet words and charming smile that instantly got my attention the first time we met. You brought along with you something that I just can't forget, forged and pinned deep into my soul, deep enough for you to permanently take your place in that very place. The key to my heart was passed on to you, and you promised you would not lose it nor would you give it back. I believed you. I really did. But in this world, words are just words without an action to support it and you made me believe that promises really are made to be broken. You became my addiction; my sedative; my everything. Just like how I was to you—at least that's what you said. But then you let go, and I became your nothing yet you were still my everything. Now all I have to do is convince myself that you're not, when all I really want to do is shout what is lying silent and dormant deep inside my heart—the fact that yes, you are still my everything.
