Setelah Jadi Orang Ketiga, Aku Pergi

Ethan Whitmore and Lila Hayes spent an entire afternoon arguing in a caféover where to apply,Kingsley or Westbridge. One was my boyfriend. The other was my best friend.I sat beside them with a cold latte in my hands, unable to get a word in.It had always been like this, even during group projects.Their names were always listed together. One aced the presentation, while the other earned an A on the paper.I stayed up all night digging through sources and polishing our scripts, only to end up as"Team Member C"at the bottom of the report they submitted. When they finally got tired of arguing, they went to our teachers for advice. No one noticed that my own application form was still blank.Three days before the deadline,Ethan called me on video and said,"Babe,Lila and I talked it over. We're both applying to Kingsley. You should apply to St.Arden.It's right next to Kingsley,so I'll still be close.I can come see you on weekends."He and Lila would be at the same school.I would be next door. But this time,I did not want to be the girl left"next door"anymore.I ended the call and chose a school I had never mentioned to either of them.It was in Asterbridge, five thousand miles away on the other side of the Meridian Ocean.ic_default
