Jealous

Jennifer woke up earlier than usual. She wore a shirt and t-shirt. She tied her long hair up. Then Jennifer followed Thomas' directions. She had to run around the hill from where she started to get to that place again. "Are you ready?" asked Thomas. Jennifer nodded. Thomas counted until on the count of three Jennifer started running. Even though it looks trivial. Long-distance running is the standard exercise for beginners to strengthen legs and breathing. Thomas was waiting where they had started their practice. He was in charge of timing Jennifer's pace. The sooner Jennifer returns to her original place, the better the score will be. Jennifer hasn't been running in a long time. She had to stop for some time to recover her breath and gather strength. Running distance is also quite far. Thomas had warned him not to push himself. Jennifer had to do it gradually so as not to get injured. Thomas could already read that Jennifer would take a long time to arrive. He had prepared everything with great calculation. He brought books and snacks. Don't forget warm coffee, Thomas also brought it. In about an hour, Jennifer just arrived beside Thomas who had already finished a few snacks and finished a few books. Jennifer sat with her legs stretched out. She tried to catch her breath until she calmed down. After that she immediately drank water. "You score pretty well. An hour, no more." Thomas closed his book. He picked up the trash in the plastic. Also put the rest of the snacks in the plastic. "Reasonable?" Jennifer did not believe the word passable. She used to be able to finish in twenty minutes with a longer distance. Jennifer actually has a lot of martial arts and sports skills. Starting from throwing knives, archery, horse riding, taekwondo, rock climbing to swimming. Even Steven once taught Jennifer to shoot. It was only one time. Before Steven died in an accident. Jennifer once asked Steven, why was he the only one being taught? Why not Janeth? When Steven just said that Janeth had a disease. Therefore Jennifer must be strong in order to protect her twin sister. Jennifer did not know what disease Janeth had. Steven never told Jennifer. Even her mother kept her mouth shut about Janeth's illness. Remembering that Jennifer felt tight. She missed Janeth and wished Janeth well. But on the other hand Jennifer is also angry, because Janeth prefers Max over her. "What do you think?" asked Thomas. He noticed the expression on Jennifer's face was changing. "Nothing. I was just thinking about Janeth," Jennifer replied. Thomas sighed. He could understand and understand if Jennifer was worried about her twin sister. "Then let's move on to the next practice. So you can find Janeth as soon as possible," said Thomas. Jennifer immediately got up. The feeling of tiredness she felt immediately disappeared. She walked behind Thomas toward Jims' house. The next exercise is swimming. Thomas will ask Jennifer to stay underwater for a long time. Jennifer used to do it when she was little with Steven. They compete to survive in the water with a certain time. If Jennifer beats Steven, then she gets a few dollars as a prize. Jennifer fought hard to get it. She always managed to do it. "Let's go!" shouted Thomas. Jennifer got into the water. She held her breath using the technique she often used before. This time Jennifer managed to hold her breath for 25 minutes. "Wow, amazing. You beat the world record," said Thomas in disbelief. "Is that true?" Jennifer was surprised. "Right. But don't get excited just yet. It makes sense for you to hold your breath underwater without doing anything. Then you'll hold your breath while doing the mission. Okay!?!" asked Thomas. Jennifer nodded. She wasn't sure if she could do it if she put her brains in and tried to stay calm in order to stay underwater. Thomas wrapped Jennifer's body in a towel. He asked Jennifer to take a shower and get dressed. Meanwhile Thomas started making soup so Jennifer would feel warm later. "You're a good cook," Jennifer said when she came back neatly and dryly dressed. "I used to do it when I helped mom in the kitchen. My cooking skills grew while living with Jims." "I see," Jennifer said, tasting Thomas' soup. Unexpectedly Thomas's soup was delicious. Jennifer did have to acknowledge Thomas' cooking skills. "Where's Jim?" Jennifer asked. "Today he is at the hospital doing a routine check." "Is it okay if you let him go alone?" Jennifer asked worriedly. "Don't worry. He was picked up by his best friend." "Really!?! I thought Jims' best friend was just my father." Thomas chuckled. "Have you forgotten that there are three of them. You must have seen a picture of the three of them at your house." Jennifer was silent. She tried to remember the photo on display in the laboratory. It seemed Jennifer had seen a photo of her father with two other men. "I remember. It was a photo when they finished undergoing a fairly rigorous military training. The three of them were named the best graduates. But I forgot the other man." Jennifer remembers the face in the photo but doesn't remember the name. "Her name is Justin. He decided to leave the agency because he felt guilty for the accident that happened to Jims." "I feel envious. Dad has best friends like them." "You're right," said Thomas. He had often seen the three of them get together and share stories. "I remember. The three of them had been to the house and went straight to the laboratory. Are you the boy I was playing with at the time?" Jennifer asked. She fell in love with the boy. "I thought it wasn't me. If Jims goes to the lab I'm never invited in. I'm just waiting in the car." Jennifer and Thomas fell silent. "Right, it's definitely not you. Because the boy is only two years older than me. Then who is he. Is it Justin's son?" "Impossible," said Thomas. "Justin is not married and has no relationship with any woman." Jennifer was surprised to hear Thomas' words. Then who is the boy? "How many times have you seen him?" asked Thomas. "A lot. We used to play together a lot. He took great care of me and always tried to make me feel comfortable. Until elementary school graduation, I never saw him again. And what I regret most is that I never asked him what his name was." Thomas was silent. His heart felt bad to see Jennifer having sweet memories with another man. Thomas was jealous. But he couldn't protest Jennifer's feelings. "Why are you sad too?" Jennifer asked. Thomas was surprised. He immediately smiled. "I'm too deep into your story," said Thomas lied. "You have feelings too. I don't feel like being a murder agent," Jennifer teased. "Hey, don't judge someone by the cover," said Thomas. Jennifer just laughed out loud.
