Jennifer was shocked to hear the news that Jims was kidnapped by the terrorists. Even the news of the kidnapping was in the news. They also saw how the chase was caught on television.
"You must be sad. I'll take you home," said Alex.
"Don't want to." Jennifer still refuses.
"Then I'll accompany you to find clues to where they took Jims away. If they did see the road under the open ambulance, it means something was set up in the way like a secret door."
Alex immediately opened a web search. He will look for a clue.
"It's like an elevator door. It opens and closes."
"You're right," Jennifer said. "Shall we go there?" Jennifer asked.
Alex nodded. The two of them immediately went to the place where the ambulance disappeared. There are friction marks and loose asphalt stones that accumulate and form a line. When viewed from above, the line will resemble an elevator door.
"Below there must be a tunnel. But where is it going?" said Jennifer.
Alex immediately looked for information about the area. Before the road was built, of course the area had been used by people. After viewing the search results. In that place, just below them stood an abandoned mine. Chances are they are building lifts for ambulances for single use. Because the car disappeared right at the end of the paved road.
"Very intelligent. I heard that this method can only be done by Max. The most intelligent terrorist and difficult for the police to predict," said Alex.
"But why did they kidnap Jims?" Jennifer asked.
"I don't know. But if I was asked to guess, it might be some kind of experiment," said Alex.
Jennifer was surprised. Being a rudimentary material experiment would definitely be painful. Jennifer felt bad, if it did happen.
"Don't be sad. Secret agents will definitely help. Your father has done a lot for them. It's time for them to help Jims," said Alex.
"How about we go to your house. I don't mind. It'll help me get some information anyway. How about it?" asked Alex.
"Okay," said Jennifer.
Jennifer doesn't need to pack clothes anymore. Because at Jims' house, he has a lot of clothes. Therefore, he only helped Alex pack up.
"I'm just bothering you," Jennifer said to Alex.
"It's okay. Don't forget. This is also beneficial for me. I am a writer so I can dig up a lot of information among secret agents," said Alex.
Jennifer nodded. Once ready they went to Alex's house. When they got there, Thomas greeted them and escorted them to the room that Jennie had previously used.
"I'm glad you came. But I'm disappointed you came when Jims wasn't here anymore," Thomas said and left.
"Thomas was devastated. It's all my fault," said Alex.
"No. It's my fault. I'll talk to him." Jennifer left Alex.
Jennifer knew that Thomas might be angry with her. But she had to apologize.
"It's all my fault. I'm sorry," Jennifer said.
"Yes. It is indeed your fault. If only you had not left this house. None of this would have happened. Are you satisfied making the person who helped you suffer now somewhere!???" said Thomas.
Jennifer listened without interrupting. She didn't argue with Thomas either. Denying would only make Thomas's anger worse.
"I told you that Jims wasn't going to live much longer. I really hope that with your presence, he will die peacefully. But what happens now?"
Jennifer listened to all of Thomas's tantrums.
"We are not swindlers. We are not killers. But our job is to kill. To be killed in the battlefield or not, the punishment for terrorists is still the death penalty. That's why the state gave us a license to kill those terrorists. Your father is also one of us. But instead you suspect and oppose us," said Thomas again. He walked to a cupboard. Take something from inside and show it to Jennifer.
"It's a testament to the friendship between Jims, Justin and Steven."
Jennifer stared at the photo in the frame. Photo of Steven and Jims, as well as Justin.
"The three of them put their hope in you to continue their struggle. But instead you act like we are criminals," said Thomas.
"I'm sorry. At that time I was just confused and didn't know who I could trust," said Jennifer.
Thomas took a deep breath. He knew it was also Thomas' own fault.
"I'm also sorry. Without your permission I changed your face and your identity. Without asking for your approval we also forced you to become a secret agent," Thomas's voice lowered.
"Actually I'm also afraid. I don't have any advantages other than martial arts. And I also don't have any skills to deal with them."
Thomas turned around. In no time Thomas grabbed the sword and cut Jennifer's hand.
"What are you doing?" Said Jennifer.
"Just look at your wound. What happened?"
Jennifer saw the long wound on her hand. The wound closes by itself.
"What is this? Did you do something to my body?" Jennifer asked herself frightened.
"No. I didn't do anything." Thomas took a photo and showed it to Jennifer.
"This is a photo of the first time we found you. Your face is shattered. But you see the locket you're wearing?"
Jennifer looked at the locket. She remembered that the locket was a gift from her father. But why the pendant is white. As far as Jennifer remembers the pendant is red.
"The locket has not changed. You must remember the true color of the locket. The locket breaks when you throw it away and the liquid inside the locket enters your body through the wound on your neck. It was the liquid that saved you. In the process of recovering the body. so that you can start a new life and not be haunted by the past. Because Steven entrusted you to us," said Thomas.
"But why didn't dad tell me?" Jennifer was confused.
"You were a kid at the time and wouldn't understand the complicated situation that was going on. So when Steven sensed someone wanted to kill him, he texted Jims and left you."
"And Janeth?" Jennifer asked.
"Janeth is not our priority. Because Janeth can start her own life. We just didn't think that Janeth herself was the cause of your death," said Thomas.
Jennifer was silent. She rubbed her face roughly.
"How? Are you still going to refuse?" asked Thomas.
"Give me some time to think about it. Besides, I also have an appointment with Alex. Maybe I'll finish that promise first and then I'll really get back to you," Jennifer said.
"What about Jims now?" asked Thomas.
"I'll help find him. You don't have to worry. Alex and I will do it," Jennifer said.
