Max slammed the robot rat in annoyance. He failed to find his way to the secret room of the laboratory. Even though it is very clear that all the evidence points to the house. Only in that house is the laboratory located.
Just as Max gets frustrated and destroys a lot of stuff, his cell phone rings.
"Yes?" Max immediately picked up the phone. Calls with private numbers are usually from the head office.
"I've found a clue. But ..." Max stared at the wrecked robot. Max always had a hard time controlling his temper when he was angry. It will destroy anything. This time the robot was the target.
"The robot was destroyed. This is unbelievable. I can explain." Max panicked. He knew all the tools he got were very expensive. Especially if it was made specifically for the task. The voice on the other side became high. Max was silent. That is the best way to make someone's anger subside faster. Because if answered their anger will be more and longer.
"Fine. I'll call back later." Max hung up the phone with a troubled face. He had to find the laboratory. He had run out of time.
Max got up and knocked on the wall. He did so in several areas suspected of being areas that might be secret rooms. Usually the secret room is behind a cupboard or wall full of decoration.
Max is tired. He sat on the sofa. As his mind was confused and almost giving up he looked at the library room. Max got up. It was the most likely place to be a secret room.
Max looked at the bookshelf. He noticed some suspicious books. For example, one clean book among dusty books. Or a book with a trail shifting underneath. It could also be a different floor footprint. Even a reading chair can also be a key. Max sat on a chair imagining himself to be Steven. He looked straight ahead. He looked at the shelves full of books in front of him. Max's hands weren't still either. He fumbled for the chair hoping for a button or lever. But the futile effort he was looking for was not there.
Max moved places. He opened his cellphone and saw a recap of the results of his investigation so far. The house there has the same shape. Each house has a veranda or courtyard in different directions. Behind the house is another house. And so on. According to neighbors. The house behind Jennifer's house belongs to a doctor. He is still unmarried.m and rarely comes home. Some even say that the house is only used as an investment, not a permanent residence. Max has tried to find the owner of the house in several hospitals, but to no avail. Max suspects that the doctor is not the real owner of the house.
Max looked at another note. It was stated there that when the owner of the house bought the house, Steven was the intermediary, because the doctor was still abroad. Surprisingly the doctor was only seen twice in the house. It happened when he was doing the rehabilitation of his house. Once a neighbor visited. Coincidentally that day the doctor was there. He was curious about the changes in the house, but the doctor did not let the neighbor in.
Max put down the photo, he took the hat and walked out of the house. Max just had to make a detour to get to the house. Usually residents in the housing complex are not at home in the morning. Max could sneak into the house easily. About twenty minutes of leisurely walking Max was almost there. He keeps an eye on his surroundings. As expected, the streets looked deserted. Only a few people were seen, but they entered the house. Max waited for the opportunity. Just when no one was seen he headed to the young doctor's house. Max peeked out the window. It was impossible to break through from the front. Since the house was the same model, Max knew there was a side door. Max immediately jumped over the side fence. It fell on the side of the house. There's a back door. Max pulled the doorknob. Locked.
Max took out the wire. It only took a minute, the door was already open. Then Max put on a t-shirt, he entered slowly. The kitchen model is the same. Max immediately went to the front room. There's nothing there. Only chairs and table. Max was confused because his guess was wrong. But it was getting weirder. If the condition of the house is the same. What was renovated?
Max kicked the chair in annoyance. He immediately checked the room. There's nothing there. But the ceramic model on the floor of each room is different. Is that what young doctors do. Just because you don't like the color of the floor tiles?
Max took out an object that would detect any empty space on the wall. He turned on the device and began combing the walls he suspected.
"This is weird. Why can't I find anything here?" Max tucked the device into his pocket. He heard some residents talking in front of the house. Max immediately went into hiding. He should not be caught doing anything suspicious. Max immediately decided to leave the house after the environment was quiet again as before. He jumped up and walked casually as if nothing had happened.
Max greets several people along the way. But he saw someone in front of Janeth's house. A man who's been bothering his since yesterday.
"That cop again," Max growled. He was about to reprimand the policeman, but someone stopped him in his tracks.
"Max, can you please help me?" asked a little girl.
"What is it?"
The little girl pointed at the cat that couldn't get down from the top of the tree. Max glanced at Janeth's house.
"Please, help my cat," said the little girl tugging at the hem of Max's shirt.
"Okay. You take it easy." Max immediately grabbed the cat and handed it to the little girl.
"Thank you," said the little girl.
Max immediately headed for Janeth's house, but the young cop was no longer there. The young cop was very suspicious. Max rushed to where Josh was standing. Then think of something.
"Max, have you heard?" Said a citizen.
Max turned and shook his head.
"Mrs. Marsha was declared dead of an infection in her neck. She had surgery a few days ago. I don't know what happened, why didn't she tell me if there was a problem. People here will help willingly."
"I'm so sad to hear that. Thanks for telling me. If Jennifer calls us. I'll tell her," Max said.
The man nodded and left. Max immediately entered the house. He didn't want anyone to rebuke him again. It was a tough day for Max. His attempt failed again for the umpteenth time. Max decided to take a shower. He didn't realize there was a surveillance camera that had just been placed in his house. The camera captured his every move.
