Casimir comes in through the same window that he jumped out of. He goes into the living room and places Zev on the couch. Lucian comes out of the bathroom and stops in his tracks, “What is he doing here?” Lucian walks to a chair and sits down. “He was getting attacked by some sort of monster that I’ve never seen.” Lucian looks up and Casimir, “Did you tell Sage about this?” Casimir looks at Zev then back at Lucian and shakes his head no. “This is big news, something Casimir has never seen.” Lucian says as he paces the room. A slight groan can be heard from the couch. Casimir looks over to see that Zev is waking up. Zev’s eyes open, looks around the room and gets up, “Where am I?” “What was that thing?” Zev got up from the couch and backed up into a corner. “Calm down Zev, you’re fine.” Casimir puts his hands up trying to calm down Zev. “You’re at my house.” Zev looks around to see Casimir lives in a big apartment. “What are you?” Zev looks like a rabbit about to be eaten by a big bad wolf. “You wouldn’t believe me even if I told you. I’m here to help you.” Zev looks at Casimir for reassurance, then looks at Lucian who was eating an apple. “You’re safe here.” Zev puts his guard down and walks towards the couch. “Why did that thing come after me?” Casimir scratches the back of his neck. “We don’t know, if you want, we can keep you safe until we know what’s happening.” Lucian suggested walking towards Casimir with a bowl of soup. Casimir takes the soup and places it on the coffee table. Lucian looked at Casimir like he had just betrayed him. Lucian sits down on the couch and looks at Zev. Zev looks at Casimir, “Please help me.” “Have dinner with us.” Casimir gets up to fetch Zev a bowl of soup. Lucian walks with Casimir into the kitchen. From behind, Lucian makes a whipping sound, “Not even together, and already on a leash.” Casimir pins Lucian’s shadow to the floor and walks away. Lucian laughs until he tries to move but can’t. “Hey, this isn’t fair!” in the other room, Zev is sitting on the couch. Casimir hands him the soup.
Zev lay on the couch sleeping, Casimir looking over him. “We have to do something about this.” Casimir looked over at Lucian. Lucian bows as Casimir walks over to his closet to change into his royal clothes. Casimir wore a black jacket with red on the inside, medals along the shoulders to show all the wars he had won. He wears black work pants with black combat boots. He takes his hand and runs it through his short warm black hair, “Let’s get to work.” Casimir looks at Lucian who is still bowing, “Yes, Brother.” Casimir waves his hand, and a big shadow appears on the floor which both him and Lucian jump through. When Casimir and his brother go through, there are monsters and demons roaming free, living like people on earth. On the other side of the shadow is the underworld, “Everybody bow, the king is here.” Everybody on the street bows and parted so Casimir can walk on the street, straight to the castle.
They get to this big castle and see a drawbridge gate that is open. When you get into the castle, there is a red carpet that leads to Casimir’s throne. The throne is made from bones by gods that he had ki**ed. Casimir sits down and loosens his jacket, “Tell me what happened?” Casimir, his winter-grey eyes glowing, looks at one of his underlings with the coldest death stare that would make anyone quake in fear. “I told you not to mess with him!!” Casimir yells so loud that Lucian flinches. One of the underlings comes up and kneels before Casimir, “I’m sorry, my lord. One of them got out.” The underling goes on, “Please punish us for this unforgivable act.” Casimir looks at the underling and smiles, Points at the underling, “To the pits.” The underling looks up with fear in his eyes, “Please, anything but that!” the underling pleads as he gets dragged away. “ALL LEAVE!” Casimir get up and everyone leave the throne room. “That was too harsh brother.” Lucian says as he gets a plate from who knows where. “I have to be in this kingdom, they can only rely on fear.” Casimir says as he looks at, he pits through a window. “You are going to scare him away if you bring him here.” Lucian takes a bit out of some chicken that was on his plate. “I will find out what happened.” Casimir turns to head out into the village to investigated.
As soon as Casimir is out of earshot from everybody, he calls on his subordinate, “Khadga.” From the corner of the building a man comes to kneel before Casimir, “Hello, when did you get back, I could have picked you up.” Casimir laughs and pats Khadga on the shoulder as he gets up. “I need you to see how they got out.” Casimir looks at where Khadga used to be, “Talking to myself, great.” As Casimir goes into the streets, he changes clothes into that of commoner’s clothes and a hood. Casimir spends the next two hours looking for clues when Khadga comes from nowhere. “Sir, I found out.” Casimir looks at Khadga, “It was your brother, Uriel.” Casimir stops, looks at Khadga and begins to drape off a black aura. “What?” Casimir travels through the shadows to Lucian. “It’s war.” Lucian looks at Casimir as he stands up, “You sure?” Lucian asks in disbelief. Casimir looks at Khadga, “Thank you, tell Gege and the kids I said hi.” Khadga nods then disappears. “You will stay here until something new comes up.” Casimir makes a shadow on the floor to get to the mortal realm. When he gets back, Zev is waiting for him. Zev sees Casimir standing by the wall with a blue t-shirt and jeans, watching him. “Did you wait for me?” Casimir asks. Zev blushes, looking away from Casimir, “I just wanted to know if it was safe to go to work.” Casimir stalks closer to Zev, looking at him with joy in his eyes. When he gets close enough, Casimir bends down and lands a kiss on Zev’s lips. Casimir licks Zev’s lips to ask for permission to go further. Zev opens his mouth and deepens the kiss. Zev breaks the kiss to look at Casimir, “I have to get to work.” Zev gets out of Casimir’s embrace and runs to the door blushing and confused about what had just transpired.
