My Misunderstanding

Jack’s POV Man I have messed up things so bad. What that guy was saying is true. I haven’t been there for Paris at all for this whole week and I didn’t even know that she was hurt. I love her so much but I am such a fool. Jenna has been on my case lately and it’s getting harder and harder for me to resist her, but everytime I try I just can’t. I think of Paris and then I feel sorry again.  My life has been a twist since this past weekend. It’s been 2 years since we’ve been dating and we have both still not moved to the next level. I love her so much but my natural urges have been keeping me away from her. No matter how much I try she moves and distances herself whenever we try to get somewhat intimate. I’ve been noticing that she was super busy but even at home she still doesn’t really call or text me. Has it been that guy she is around lately? He isn’t in school but he isn't old.  And when did he come and where did he come from? I should be the one upset since she had another man in her home right? Well after this weekend I should not be. The guilt has been hitting me so much that I can’t be by her. It’s made me suffer so much. I should have never started going to these parties. Going to the last two was a mistake and now it’s come to bite me literally back.  “Jack! You need to handle that mate of yours before she tears up the whole pack house.” Tim says  “I am trying, I just don’t know what to do.” I say back to Tim Tim is my future Beta and my best friend in my wolf world. I am a son of an Alpha. I have a sister who is in a different pack with my mom. My parents split when I was little due to my dad being with another gamma during my mom's birthday party when he was drunk. I don’t know how that happened since wolves don’t get drunk fast but it did. My mom walked in and since then they have had problems. I know my dad loves her but she couldn’t bare it and left back to my grandparents pack.  My sister only being 3 was best leaving with my mom. My dad has been a wreck since and when that happened he went on a killing spree taking over many packs. From 300-15,000 this has been done in a span of 5 years. Mom and dad both don’t talk but from what I hear there is a rumor of mom having a second chance mate. Dad hasn’t taken it so well but I know if I know he does too. My pack has become one of the strongest packs on our end of the continent. Dad has taken over another pack and when they merged with us this past weekend I found my mate.  The crazy thing about this is, I know she is my mate but why do I not feel this mate bond as strong as I would think? My wolf feels it and I do. Yet we are not attracted to her as much as we are Paris. And to make matters worse, she is the worse of a mate. She screams at my pack and makes them do shameless things like slaves. And they do it since she is the pack's future Luna. I’ve tried to settle things down with her but all she does is fight with me.  Saying I’m the worst mate ever and that she can smell another woman on me. There is more to that, but I just wish. I just wish things were better. I told her I had a girlfriend already and she went crazy. I know we are mates, but I can’t just do that to Paris. She’s lived such a hard life. My family gets along with her, I get along with her of course. My pack acknowledges her already (even though she doesn’t know them yet) and she already has approval from my mom.  Why now do I finally meet my mate when I am about to move forward with Paris. And why is this mate bond not even strong?  “Dude!” Tim yells at me  I look at him so confused  “What am I supposed to do?” I ask him “She is your mate and future Luna. She needs to know how to act like a Luna and does she even know who she’s talking to like that right now? We are one of the best fighting packs here and she has the nerve to hit our toughest warrior? You gotta do something before the pack turns dude.” he says to me “They would do that to their future Alpha?” I say to him over powering his aura as I see him squint down and submit to me  “No it’s just. Why would she treat us like that if she is supposed to be the future Luna?” he asks “She can do whatever she wants! She is future Luna. Don’t ever speak like this about her ever.” I say back to him surprised.   Where did this come from? I don’t care about her. So why would I say something like that?  And future Luna? Am I already acknowledging her at that position?  “Of course Alpha.” Tim says to me and leaves  I walk out of my office and hear her screaming at the others asking for respect for their Future Luna. I can feel the awkward tension in the air. I look at everyone shivering with their heads down. I don’t know if it’s more because of her or because of how mad they are at her but I don’t like how they are looking at her like that.  I see her flinch and I know she knows I am close but I don’t make my appearance known.  “Don’t worry about it this time. It was my misunderstanding. I will forgive you now, but next I won’t. You were warned!” she says back to the pack.  So she’s one of those. Just great!
