Whosoever car I stole, has pretty great taste in music. It has been about two hours since my escape and I have been happily singing along to Adele, Fall out Boy and TwentyOne pilots. Would it be rude to take the CD's with me? I mean I've already stolen the car, technically so the- "HELLO, FROM THE OTHER SIIIDE!! I MUST'VE CALLED A THOUSAND TIIIIMES!" My voice cracks a little, trying to hit the same notes she does, but that is why she is the professional and I'm not. I don't know anyone who can resist singing to that song. My heart pounds in my chest as I turn down my street. I'm about to park before I realize that cars can be traced by their location. They might not go to the police, because they Kidnapped me, but they might know how you trace it themselves. A light bulb practically appears above my head at the idea I just got. I flip a u turn and head back in the direction of the club. Hopefully if they trace it and find it there, it will be like a huge middle finger in their face. I quickly pull into the parking lot of the club and park the furthest from the door. I jump out, throwing the keys in the back. The last thing I need is to steal/borrow a car only to have it actually stolen. I stare down the street towards where the bus stop is and nerves flood through me. The kidnapping playing over and over again in my head. But it is the quickest way home. I take a deep breath and start running down the street, wanting to put this behind me as soon as possible. Luck is on my side, when the bus is pulling into the stop. I rush towards the door, digging through my pockets for some money. Shit! My phone is still at Colton's place along with the money I had to!I wonder if I should be concerned with how they got it from me when I was not awake? I groan and then take off down the street walking as fast as I can towards the apartment complex. I feel paranoid looking over my shoulder every few minutes. People pass me on the street and I don't bother glancing their way, I just keep moving forward. I can't stop my brain from thinking about Colton. The look on his face before I drove away... the way I felt when I saw it. I have never met a person who can set the butterflies into a frenzy like he can. Or make my skin tingle with just a touch. Is this what Stockholm syndrome is? I shake him from my mind the best I can when the apartments come into view. I small smile crosses my lips and I break out into a sprint. I have never ran up the stairs so quick in my life. By the time I am outside my door, my heart feels like it will pound out of my chest and I'm struggling for breath. I start knocking on the door, practically banging on it, for them to open it. "Avery?!" Lindsey rushes towards me and grabs me for a hug. "Where the f**k were you? I have been worried sick! And Liam..." She left the sentence hanging, but I could see the worry. She wore it like a tattoo. Her black hair is tied back into a messy bun and her green eyes look tired with worry. "Liam!" I shouted for him before turning to Lindsey "It's a long story and it is behind me now. I am so sorry!" I grabbed her into another hug before the sound of little footsteps echoed through the apartment. I saw his dirty blonde hair flopping around his forehead as he rounded the corner, his blue eyes alight with excitement. "Avery!" He bounded towards me and I picked him up hugging his tiny frame to mine, noticing that soon I won't be able to hold him anymore as his is getting bigger. His small hands clung around my neck like a lifesaver and I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I can only imagine how it felt while I was gone for that little while. One thing I know for sure, no one will ever take me from Liam again. It's obvious that he needs me as much as I need him. "Where were you Aves? I was scarred" Liam pulled away to look at me and I adjusted him so that he was on my hip. "It's not important. I am here now and I am not going anywhere." He laid his shoulder on my chest as I walked to the couch. I was content to just sit on the couch with both of them. Maybe watch some Netflix, make hot chocolate. Just a chill in the apartment kind of day. But of course, Liam is to rambunctious for that. "Can we go to park, Aves? Please?" His face scrunched up into what his version of the puppy dog face is. What he actually looks like it trying to concentrate on a really hard math problem. I couldn't help the little laugh that escaped my lips. "Fine. But we are going to the little park nearby. and you have to let me shower and change first. Ok?" Liam quickly nodded his head and climbed off of my lap. "I'll watch Spongebob" He handed me the remote to turn his cartoon on for him. After I put his show on, I noticed that Lindsey was standing in the kitchen watching me. I motion for her to come to my room with me. It is obvious she wants answers, but I am not sure that I want to give her the entire story. So what will I tell her? "Where were you really Avery? I was terrified and so was Liam." She closed the door to the room as I sat on the bed. I shook my head slightly and took a deep breath. "I don't even know Linds. It was just a huge misunderstanding but it's done, it's over, I'm here now. Thank you for watching Liam. I love you!" I could tell that she wanted more of an explanation but I don't want to give her one. I don't know why Colton took me from the club. Hell, I don't even know if Colton was his real name. I just want to leave it in the past, leave him in the past. But why does my heart clench when I say that? Why does it hurt so much to think about him? I grab a clean pair of yoga pants, a black tank top and some underwear before heading into the bathroom. The warm water feels amazing on my skin and I am tempted just to hide out in here for the rest of the day. But I can already hear Liam yelling, so I quickly wash my body. I shut the water off and grab the blue towel from the rack, wrapping it securely around my body. I can't hear Liam or spongebob anymore, hopefully he fell asleep, then I could relax for a little while. I look around the small bathroom but I can't find my coconut body cream. If I don't put any on, my skin will feel dry and that is just an uncomfortable feeling. I walk out of the bathroom, holding the towel securely in place around my chest. My wet hair falling around my shoulders, dripping water down my back. "Hey Linds, have you seen my Coconu-" an animalistic growl cuts off my sentence as I stare in horror at the scene around me. Lindsey and Liam are both passed out on the couch with three guys standing near them with their arms crossed across the chest. Two of them I recognize as the ones who helped kidnap me. How did they find me? Before I could even blink, Colton was in front of me, his eyes practically black as he blocks my view of the living room.
