As the story unfolds, the 8 members of Stray Kids are preparing for an exciting new chapter in their career. Their upcoming album, Megaverse, will explore the theme of other universes. It's a concept they've been passionate about, and they can't wait to release it. However, this time, the experience is more than just music—it's about stepping into a world beyond imagination.
One afternoon, the group receives a mysterious invitation to a research facility, one specializing in a cutting-edge game simulation technology. The facility promises to take them on a journey like no other—a fully immersive, real-life game experience, where the lines between virtual and reality are blurred. The research team has created a simulation that promises to feel just like living inside a game.
Felix, always a fan of gaming, is immediately excited.
Felix: "Guys, this is it! Imagine—being part of a game where it’s all real! I can’t wait to try this out!"
Seungmin, equally eager, adds: "I’ve always wanted to experience a game like this! It’s going to be amazing."
But Bangchan is a bit more hesitant. As the leader, he feels responsible for the group's safety and well-being.
Bangchan: "I don’t know, guys... I’m a little skeptical. No one else has tried this, and there’s still a lot we don’t know about it. What if something goes wrong?"
Felix: "Come on, Channie hyung! It’s going to be fine. They’ve got a whole team of researchers and doctors. They’re saying it’s completely safe."
Seungmin chimes in, grinning: "We’ll be the first ones to do it! That’s something to be excited about, right?"
Bangchan hesitates for a moment, glancing at the excitement on Felix and Seungmin’s faces. He knows they’re right—this could be an incredible opportunity. Still, his concerns linger.
Bangchan: "But what if we get stuck or something weird happens? This isn’t just some game, it’s a whole new world. It’s a bit... too real for me."
Felix laughs, patting Bangchan on the back.
Felix: "You’re always the cautious one, Channie hyung. But trust me, this is going to be something we’ll never forget. Besides, we’ve faced challenges before, right?"
Seungmin, with a grin, adds: "Plus, think of the content! Imagine what we could do for Megaverse!"
After a moment of silence, Bangchan finally sighs, realizing that the excitement of his members is contagious.
Bangchan: "Alright, alright, fine. But if anything goes wrong, I’m blaming both of you."
Felix: "Deal! We’re all in this together, Channie hyung."
And so, with excitement in the air, the group agrees to head to the research facility. They are ready to take part in the game simulation, eager to explore new worlds and expand their horizons. As they arrive at the facility, the atmosphere is charged with anticipation.
Felix: "This is it. I can’t believe we’re really doing this."
Seungmin: "We’re going to be pioneers in gaming history!"
Bangchan still seems a little wary, but he doesn’t show it. He wants to support the group, and deep down, he’s curious to see what this new experience hold.
Bangchan: "Alright, we’re doing this. Let’s just make sure we don’t get lost in there, okay?"
The team is outfitted with specialized equipment, and they are guided to their starting points in the simulation.
As the group stands in front of the research facility’s game simulation interface, they are all buzzing with excitement, each member eager to try their chosen game world. The air is thick with anticipation as the researchers prepare the equipment and finalize the setup.
Hyunjin, who loves art and creativity, spots the Art Gallery and Studio worlds on one of the monitors. His eyes light up as he turns to Bangchan, his voice full of enthusiasm.
Hyunjin: “hyung, let’s do the Art Gallery and Studio together! I’m sure it’s going to be amazing, imagine all the creativity!”
Bangchan glances at the titles, then at Hyunjin, smiling at his excitement. He knows Hyunjin can’t resist a chance to experience something artistic.
Bangchan: "Alright, I’m in. But if there’s a painting of you looking like a model, I’m going to laugh."
Hyunjin: “Only if you do the modeling, Hyung!” (He teases with a wink.)
Next, Seungmin and Felix look at the Maze: Escape Room world. The challenge in the title excites them, and Seungmin speaks up confidently.
Seungmin: “We’re going to crush this! I’ll figure out all the puzzles and get us out in no time. You’re in, right, Felix?”
Felix, who’s always up for a challenge, grins and nods.
Felix: “Of course! You know I’m in. We’ve got this. It’s a battle of wits!”
Changbin, who’s been quietly observing, sees the Gym world and immediately makes his decision. Without any hesitation, he points to it.
Changbin: “I’m going for the Gym. Time to get stronger—brain and body. Maybe I’ll come out of this game with a six-pack, eh?”
He laughs heartily, clearly enjoying the thought of getting more than just mental challenges in the game.
Han looks over the Lucid Dream worlds, where three distinct choices stand before him. He turns to Lee Know, asking with a playful grin.
Han: “Hyung, where are you going? There’s Lucid Dream: Solo Concert, Lucid Dream: Peace and Tranquility, and Lucid Dream: Plane Adventure. What’s your choice?”
Lee Know glances at the options before settling on the one that appeals to him the most.
Lee Know: “I’m going for Peace and Tranquility. I think I could use some peace. Plus, it sounds nice.”
Han smiles, a little teasing.
Han: “You, always so calm. Well, I’m picking the Solo Concert. I want to try performing on my own... without the members. I think I can do it in a game, but in real life? That’s still something I need time to figure out. It’ll be good practice.”
Lee Know: (laughs) "You’ll be amazing. But hey, I’m right here with you if you need backup."
Han, feeling reassured, turns to I.N, who’s been looking at the Plane Adventure world with a grin plastered on his face.
Han: “What about you, I.N? That one looks interesting.”
I.N: “I want to try Plane Adventure. I think it’ll be fun, and I can just relax and take in the adventure while lying down. Sounds like the perfect combo of comfort and thrill.”
With their choices made, the researchers begin preparing the team for the simulation. They help each member suit up with the necessary equipment. One of the lead researchers steps forward to explain the game’s structure.
Researcher: “Each of you will enter different worlds. The Art and Studio, Gym, and Maze are all part of the same server, while the Lucid Dream worlds are on a separate server. This means you may cross paths with others from the same server but won’t be able to interact if you are on different servers.”
The group listens carefully, taking in the information.
Researcher: “To protect your minds and ensure a safe experience, we will induce a controlled forgetfulness about being in a game. You will experience the world as if it were real, just like a parallel universe. However, everything outside of the game itself will be erased from your memory temporarily.”
Han turns to Lee Know, his face filled with a mix of humor and seriousness.
Han: “Hyung, you must promise to find me, okay? Let’s stick together in this. I know it’s a game, but it’s still a bit scary.”
Lee Know smiles reassuringly.
Lee Know: “Don’t worry, I’ll find you. I promise".
The researchers finalize their preparations, and with one last look at each other, the members step into their respective worlds. They can feel the game world swallowing them up, their senses heightened as they enter the simulation, leaving behind the familiar reality.
As they settle into their chosen games, they know they’re about to embark on an unforgettable experience. The excitement, the thrill, and the challenges await them in the Megaverse.
As the simulation begins, Bangchan and Hyunjin slowly open their eyes. Bangchan blinks, adjusting to the dim lighting, and finds himself sitting in front of his music production setup, fingers tapping absent-mindedly on the desk. The familiar hum of the studio surrounds him, but something feels off. The instruments in the room seem perfectly aligned, as if waiting for him to continue working on the new song he's been struggling with. His thoughts are scattered, trying to recall the melody that has eluded him. He doesn’t realize yet that he's inside the game, lost in the challenge of finishing the perfect track. For him, it’s just another day, trying to break through the creative block. Hyunjin, standing nearby, is already lost in the rhythmic patterns of his own mind
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Han and Lee Know find themselves standing at the entrance of a Haunted House. The air is thick with unease, but both seem to take it in stride. They look at each other, a challenge unspoken between them. Han grins, cracking a joke to lighten the mood, but deep down, he can feel the weight of something darker lurking behind the walls. Lee Know looks around with narrowed eyes, his usual calm demeanor masking his concern. The haunted house in front of them seems alive, almost as if it’s watching them, waiting to reveal its secrets.
They enter, their footsteps echoing as the doors creak shut behind them. Neither of them realizes that they are trapped in the game, facing their fears and the beginning of what might turn into a nightmare. They think they’re just facing a challenge—one more to conquer before all the mystery unfolds.
