Renata was so excited now. She could not only make use of Cliff but also hook up with the president of Genui Group.
She couldn't let Sharon lose her life. She would make good use of Cliff to torment Sharon. Sharon had been the eldest daughter of the Evans family, and Renata wouldn't spare Sharon so easily.
"I had no idea if I can really work in Genui Group,"
Sharon murmured as she hung around in the villa. She was still thinking of the scene that Nathan hung up the phone and the words he said.
Looking around the villa, she couldn't calm down. She would stare at Nathan tonight for sure. She was eager to know whom Nathan would talk to.
"No. That's too indecent.
But he is my husband.
He is only a nominal husband," Sharon struggled in her mind.
...
"What did you say, Mr. Harris? You want me to arrange a job for Ms. Sharon?" Glenn widened his eyes and stared at Nathan.
Nathan specially warned him not to expose his identity in front of Sharon when Glenn sent the car to Sharon last time. Why did Nathan suddenly change his mind?
"Yes, she will work in the company. Arrange me a director office, and you are my secretary. Send the documents to my new office from now on."
The president became the director.
That was way too...
But no one could change the decision made by Nathan. Glenn didn't ask the reason, because he was afraid he would be scolded.
"What about Ms. Sharon?"
"Arrange a director office for her. Tell her this position is badly short of talent, and make the interview simple. Do you know what I mean?"
Glenn nodded. Genui Group didn't hire a director easily. Sharon wasn't that qualified to be the director. From what Nathan said, he had made up his mind to let Sharon work in the company.
"Please rest assured, Mr. Harris. I'll do as you said,"
Glenn stood beside Nathan respectfully.
Nathan glanced at Glenn, "Do I need to stress the confidentiality of the thing?"
Nathan said in a strong tone.
"Please rest assured, Mr. Harris."
...
It was late. The crescent moon hung in the sky, revealing the chill light.
"Why hasn't he come back?"
Sharon looked outside, but she still hadn't seen the trace of Nathan's car.
"He doesn't even give me a call," Sharon muttered.
She held the phone in her hand and had a look at it from time to time. But she still didn't receive the call from Nathan. She was in a bad mood.
"How about I call him? What should I say?
I'd better not.
It's not weird to ask him if he will come back for dinner," Sharon thought.
But...
She strolled up and down in the house and finally made up her mind.
"Hello? What's the matter?"
Nathan picked it up when he saw it was from Sharon.
Sharon heard carefully the sound from the other side of the phone. She wanted to find out where Nathan was. But she heard nothing.
"I want to ask if you'll come back for dinner."
"I forgot to tell you I'm not going back for dinner. Haven't you eaten? I'll order some food for you."
"Where are you now?"
"Ginder Manor,"
Nathan blurted out. He didn't try to hide it from Sharon.
"When will you..."
The phone was hung up before Sharon finished her words.
Sharon looked at the screen and sighed. How could Nathan hang up the phone before her words finished? She went back to the bedroom and turned on the TV.
Half an hour later, the knock came to Sharon's ears.
She hurriedly came up to open the door.
"It's you?"
"Ms. Sharon, Nathan asked me to send this to you,"
Glenn put the dishes on the table. Sharon wondered what he was doing. She looked at the dishes and found they were all the specialty dishes of the Ginder Manor.
"Nathan has a business dinner, so..."
"Business dinner..."
Sharon thought Nathan was a small clerk, but she didn't expect he was a director.
"It's about your company?"
Sharon looked at Glenn in confusion, hoping to find out something.
When Glenn came here, Nathan had reminded him not to say anything wrong.
"Ms. Sharon, please enjoy your dinner. I have to go back to the company. We are having a staff banquet today."
After Glenn left, Sharon finished her dinner alone. The whole house was so quiet that she could only hear her own breath and the sound from the clock.
"Why hasn't he come back yet? Isn't it just a normal dinner?"
Sharon stood up and looked at the leftovers on the table. Although she had known Nathan was having the staff banquet, she still felt uneasy because of the words "I'll talk to you at night" this morning.
"How about I drive there to have a look? If he is really at Ginder Manor, I'll come back," thought Sharon.
Then she took the key and went to the parking lot. She drove fast on the way to Ginder Manor.
"What's wrong with me? Why am I curious about what he is doing?"
Sharon muttered as she drove. She was already on the halfway, so she just went ahead.
She finally reached Ginder Manor. Standing in front of the gate, her legs were weak. "What should I say? Should I say I just pay a visit to make sure he is here? No. It's better not to let him know. I just want to make sure he is here," Sharon thought in her mind.
She parked the car and saw Nathan's car was there. It made her feel a little relieved.
"It seems he is here. But... if he stays here with colleagues, or he dates other women?"
Sharon walked into Ginder Manor step by step.
She looked for room by room, but she didn't find anything.
When she approached the last room on the second floor, she saw Glenn push open the door. Sharon followed him curiously. Sharon saw clearly the man sitting in the room through the gap.
It was Nathan. He sat there with a faint smile, looking gentle. A girl sat beside him. It seemed they were talking about something.
Sharon felt the view of the girl's back was familiar. Had she ever seen the girl somewhere?
Sharon couldn't help clenching her fingers. Nathan never talked with anyone so gently. He seldom smiled at others.
