Chapter 5: Emrys's P.O.V.

"Sorry, excuse me, are you Emrys?" A light voice asked. I froze for a moment. Not only was I slightly shocked that someone here recognized me, I mean, I'd been sitting here four hours and no one seemed to notice me. It was more than just that though. It was that voice. It... melted over me like butter. It sent shivers down my body, causing goosebumps to rise across my arms. It was the lightest, airy, sweet voice I'd ever heard, and I instantly wanted to hear more. I turned my head towards the source of that voice. There, standing next to me was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. She's a lot shorter than me, and most of the girls I'm around. Models are tall, but this girl can't be taller than 5'2. My eyes roamed down her body, taking in the way that tight blue jeans hug her body. She's only wearing a simple black cropped shirt, but it has a V-neck, showcasing her cleavage. And wow, does she have nice t**s. Must be the bra. No way that a girl's boobs are that perfect. I bet if I took that bra off, her boobs would- Wait, what the f***k? Why would I think something like that? It's not like this girl hit on me. She's probably just a fan. I should not be undressing her with my eyes. My eyes returned to the girl's face, but I'm not sure if that was much better. She's literally the most stunning creature I've ever seen. Light blonde hair that hangs in thick waves around her, reaching down her back and past her boobs. Her fair skin looks soft, and I especially enjoy the dark shade of red that her cheeks are. What captured me the most were those light green eyes. They... seemed familiar to me. Almost like I know who this girl is, but... There's just no way. No, I would remember this girl. I would remember those full, pouty lips. I would remember those deep curves. I would definitely remember it if a girl ever scowled at me like that too. Nah, I have no idea who this girl is, and I'm not sure whether she's a fan. Not with that look on her face. It's kind of confusing. She's blushing like she's embarrassed or awestruck, but... That deep scowl tells a different story. Not to mention that all the air has been pulled from my lungs. One look into those light green orbs, and I'm... lost. Completely lost. I'm not sure that I even remember my own name. Suddenly, the ten-second countdown to the new year pulled me from my thoughts. I realized that the girl asked if I was Emrys, but I'd just been staring at her. So, I plastered on my best smile, and held my hand out to her. "Uh, yeah I'm Emrys, and you are...?" I asked, giving her my se.xiest smile. The woman looked at my hand, then back to me. She's clearly unimpressed. Which is new for me. It usually doesn't take much more than my looks or saying that I'm a model to get a woman to swoon over me. I've never really had to work harder than that. Will this woman be my first chase? I might like that. She's definitely hot. I don't usually even like blondes. This girl though... Wow. "You're really Emrys? Emrys Evermore?" The woman asked it like she didn't believe I was. Which was fine because that's not my last name at all. I didn't have a last name on the necklace that I had on. All it had was my first name. And when nobody claimed me. I was given one. A basic a.ss last name. "Uh... Evermore? I am Emrys, but my last name is Jones," I said lightly. "Jones?" she asked, confused. She seems so... lost. Like she was sure I was who I was. Maybe some kind of new tabloid came out claiming I have a different last name. I won't make a big deal out of it. It probably took this girl so much courage to even come up to me in the first place. "Yeah," I replied before trying to change the subject. "Have we met before? I swear you seem... familiar. Do we have a common mate?" Maybe we've met before through a mutual friend. That would explain why she feels so familiar to me. However, I am 100% positive that I would have remembered someone like her. I mean, f***k, the girl looks like a damn Goddess. A little young maybe, but wow, she's stunning. She can't be older than 22. I'm not into super young chicks, but I might make an excpetion for this one. "Uhm... no?" she replied. Is that an accent I hear? American, huh? I don't usually like the way they talk, but I like her voice. "A fan then," I said. "You sound like you're from the states too. Did you want a picture with me, love?" The woman's face scrunched up in confusion. Which slightly confused me, but I went with it. She might just be star struck. "Do you... not know who I am?" She suddenly asked. Uh... I thought I was being obvious about that. "Not a clue, love, but I'd love to get to know each other more if you're offering," I replied suggestively. "We can even start off as mates if you want." Mates for the night before I get her in my bed. I wonder how long she can last. My stamina is pretty high. I wonder if that will be a problem. Only one way to find out. "How about you have a drink with me?" I suggested. "We can get to know each other." I waved the bartender over without waiting for the girl to reply. When the bartender came over, I told him another whiskey for me. Then I looked at the stunning woman. She looked at me for a moment. Her arms are crossed under her boobs, and I really tried to act like I didn't notice. After a very hesitant moment, she finally sat down next to me. "Whiskey sour please, thanks," she told the bartender. I watched her as she watched the bartender make our drinks. I could tell that she knew my eyes were on her, but she was looking at him so intently. It kind of irked me. Until I saw the distrust in her eyes. She was being cautious. That's something I can appreciate. "So, you didn't tell me-" "Can you even get a buzz off that?" She suddenly asked, interrupting me. "Uhm...?" I mumbled, confused. The woman looked at my drink, then at me. I was really confused for a moment. Does she not think whiskey is strong? To be honest, I figured out a long time ago that alcohol does not have the same effects on me as it does most people. I have to drink buckets more to get even a buzz. However, on my 23rd birthday, a night out on the town, I wanted desperately to get drunk. Thus, another one of my powers was born. All I have to do is touch my glass, and it makes my drinks stronger. Strong enough to get me buzzed at a normal rate. Also, strong enough to make Duncan puke his guts up after two sips. Still, this girl shouldn't know that. "What do you mean?" I asked her. The girl looked around before leaning her elbows on the counter. She looked at me and slowly looked down at her glass. My eyes followed her line of sight to see her finger rubbing the rim of her drink. "I mean, don't you need an extra boost like the rest of us?" She asked. I was about to ask what she meant by that when her finger started to glow. That glow fell into the glass, sliding down the sides. Then her drink glowed a pretty orange color before it vanished. I watched as she brought the drink to her lips. "Now I can actually get drunk. What about you?" She asked. I just blinked at her. My mind was struggling to keep up with what I just saw. She... this girl... she used... she has... "What?" She asked. "H-h-how did you do that?" I stuttered like an idi.ot. She frowned at me. "Can't you?" She asked. "You're Fae, aren't you? This should be easy." "Fae...?" I breathed out. "Yeah, Fae," she repeated. "Not just any Fae though, are you Emrys?" "Huh?" I pushed out. "No, you're the lost prince, isn't that right?" She asked triumphantly. The look on her face was like she had won something. Or like she was catching me in a lie. Clearly, this girl thought that I was someone that I'm not, but... She seemed so sure. She called me a Fae. What the heck is a Fae? "You don't have to lie to me Emrys," she suddenly said. "If someone here is hurting you... If you're in danger... Look, I'm here to take you-" "You know what I am?" I blurted out. The woman gave me a confused look. She opened her mouth, but then shut it again. Then she shook her head before her light green eyes bore into my soul once more. "You don't..." she said softly. "You don't know who you are, do you?"
