SABRINA
I've been in Mexico for a month, and it's clear that Seth was serious about helping me regain my fitness. I spend a significant portion of my day at his exclusive gym with his personal trainer. When he's unavailable due to work commitments, his instructor takes care of my workouts. On the occasions when he's present, Seth personally guides me through the exercises. Additionally, he hired a nutritionist to manage my meals and dietary plan. Even after just a month, I can sense my previous body strength returning. My thighs have become more toned, my arms feel stronger, although there's still some work to be done on my stomach.
Furthermore, Seth took the initiative to schedule a surgical procedure aimed at reducing or minimizing the stretch marks resulting from childbirth. He emphasized repeatedly that his motive wasn't rooted in finding these marks bothersome or displeasing, but rather in recognizing the requirement for addressing them before making a return. In Seth's perspective, my journey towards a enhanced version of my former self involves reaching a level of perfection comparable to or even exceeding what I displayed prior to my hiatus from the industry.
Today is cheat day, not because Seth said so or because my nutritionist said so, but because she isn’t coming in for the day, Seth is out of the country for a fashion show, and because I crave chocolate while missing my daughter.
Grabbing a bowl of chocolate ice cream, I wrapped myself in a bedsheet, splayed out on the sofa with Netflix playing out on the screen. I was so engrossed in the movie that I didn’t even hear the front door open and Seth walked in.
It wasn’t until he blocked my view of the screen did I take notice of his presence. My eyes widened and I quickly covered the bowl of ice cream with the bed sheet. “I thought you traveled to Paris?”
He shifted glances from my face to the bed sheet. “It was canceled. I had to visit your doctor instead to have the date of your surgery moved forward.” Reaching forward, he grabbed the edge of the bed sheet and yanked it off. His brows tucked into a frown. “Really Sabrina?” I smiled sheepishly, hoping to emit a smile from him but he glared at me.
“I am sorry.” I quickly apologized, sitting upright. “I was just craving ice cream and chocolate and I couldn’t help but grab a scoop.”
His brows arched. “You call a full bowl a scoop? Are you f*****g kidding me?”
Shit! He is upset. “I am sorry Seth.”
Pinching his brows, he continued glaring at me. “we may be close Sabrina, but that doesn’t mean I won’t scold you when you mess up. Just because you are craving something doesn’t mean you should have it.” Bending, he picked up the bowl and carried it to the kitchen. “I crave being on a six months holiday twice every year, you don’t see me do that do you?”
I followed behind. “I already said I am sorry.”
Empting the bowl in the sink, he washed it off. “the fact that someone isn’t looking isn’t an excuse for you to slack, it is the moment for you to work harder than ever before.” His eyes slowly raked my body. “I am impressed by the dedication you’ve put into this, but we still have some more work to do on your body.”
“I know and I am going to put in more work,” I promised him. finally, his face broke into a smile. “oh, I thought you didn’t feel like smiling today.”
Chuckling, he scooped me off the ground and placed my ass on the kitchen island. “I will discipline you when I have to discipline you and I’ll spoil you whenever I am not disciplining you.”
Right. I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face. “Why did you push the surgery date forward?”
His grin mirrored mine. “Louis Vuitton is holding the biggest event in Paris in two months and MMM Models is supplying the models.” Placing both hands on the side of the counter, he leaned forward. “I believe the show is the perfect stage to bring you back into the game.”
My eyes twinkled with excitement. “Are saying what I think you are saying?”
“Mhmm.” He nodded still grinning. “Two months is enough time for the wound from the surgery to heal.”
I am finally going to hit the runway again! “when am I going to meet the other models?” especially Vivian. She is a big-shot model now. When I was still working with MMM Model, we were archenemies, not because I wanted to be, but because she left me with no other choice than to think of her as one.
She always had this belief that I was the reason she wasn’t so known and internationally recognized. She blamed my relationship with Seth for being the reason for my rapid growth in the industry as I achieved more than she has achieved in her ten years in the industry within one year. Maybe she was right, because the moment I quit, she grew immensely, accumulating national and international recognition.
“Are you talking about Vivain?” he chuckled. “She is opening the show with you.” Moving away from me, he ambled over to the fridge and picked up a bottle of water. “I do not understand why you both hate each other.”
My nose crinkled, “I don’t hate her.” Well, at least I think she hates me more. “I really hope she has ascertained a level of maturity.”
“Vivian is very busy with projects, I doubt she’ll have the time to lock heads with you.”
I hope so too because I am coming back harder than I did, and I hope she doesn’t see me as a threat. I have been walked on all over before and I will not let anyone walk over me again.
