Alex managed to get an award and was promoted. He had sat in the position he had always dreamed of. Therefore, Alex is no longer tied to office hours or uniforms. He has the right to special treatment and better authority than before. But Alex's duties and responsibilities are of course heavier. Steven's family case is given to him.
Steven's family case is indeed the most severe in the police. It is common knowledge among the police that whoever handles the case always dies. No one is safe. But that's what makes the leadership in the police must still find the suspect. The deaths of the previous great cops they could not allow. Suspicions of insider involvement in the police are also growing. Because the police who died were killed in a very professional way. Ways that cannot be disclosed by the usual police procedures.
"Are you ready for this task?" asked the leader. "We didn't mean to sacrifice you. But it's our job to find whoever was involved without exception. It doesn't matter who he is or what position he holds."
"Ready!" Alex replied then without hesitation. Until finally, the stars and awards and the task of the case passed into his hands.
From that day on Alex began to study the case of the Steven family. But there are strange things that have not been revealed. It says that Steven is a professor who can create something. He works for the government and works on a secret project according to government orders. But strangely, there is no explanation where Steven's laboratory is.
Alex is silent and relates all the events around Steven's house including the latest news about the fire. No casualties and no traces. Except for the fact that Janeth and a young man lived there. Then where is Jennifer? The mute girl couldn't have gone far. People's statements saying that Jennifer is abroad are also suspect, because the mute girl can't possibly have an affair with another man. That excuse was too unreasonable. The next suspicious thing was Janeth and this young man. Where did they go and disappear and why did they disappear without a trace? In this case, Alex concludes that both of them or one of them or someone else who threatens them both are the perpetrators of the house fire. They both hide because they avoid threats from the perpetrators or they hide because they themselves are the perpetrators. Alex recorded all these possibilities in his book.
On the first day of his new assignment in the police. He chose to go to Steven's house which is now the only remnant of the fire. Maybe he could find traces that the forensics couldn't find.
Alex immediately went to the location alone. Although he has a lot of subordinates at this time. In working and uncovering crime cases he prefers to do it himself. He can call his men at any time if he needs help.
Alex immediately got off and headed straight for Steven's house. He examined the rubble carefully. Don't forget to bring plastic and wear gloves. Who knows he may find evidence left behind and also someone suspicious at that location. Sometimes criminals always return to the crime scene to make sure no traces are left there. Like the principle that Alex holds. No crime is perfect. They always have loopholes that allow the identity of the criminal to be revealed.
Alex saw something on the ground which was the side yard of the house. Because the model of the house in that place was the same, Alex knew that the location was the yard next to the kitchen. He found a piece of cloth sticking out. When Alex pulled it off he could see a spot on the edge of the cloth. Judging by the color and the stiffness of the spots, Alex was pretty sure it was blood. Alex immediately put it in a plastic bag. He will do a test and check whose blood is on the cloth.
Alex combed the place. Again, but there is nothing suspicious other than the cloth. Then Alex walked back around the base of the house. He tries to remember each place by adapting the other house models. Where is the kitchen, where is the bedroom. But there is a room that can be seen from the former that the room has a library. Every time he passed that place, Alex felt that the sound of his shoes always sounded different compared to other areas. The sound of the reflection of his footsteps sounded louder as if there was empty space under his feet. Alex had to make sure. But when he looked down, he had a hunch that someone was watching him. When Alex glanced to the side, he saw the man in the hat watching him. As expected, the perpetrator must have returned to the crime scene to confirm something. Alex immediately got up and hid. He wanted to chase the man. After finding the right steps and walking slinky towards the man. Alex pulled out a gun.
Alex walked silently. The distance between him and the man was getting closer. But when he pointed a gun, the man kicked the gun and ran away. Alex immediately chased after him. They both chase each other. Alex will not give up. The hard training he has been doing so far has given him good muscles and stamina. So chasing criminals is not a difficult matter.
Seeing Alex who was persistent in pursuing. The suspicious man got into the car. Alex immediately looked for his car and immediately gave chase. At first they chased around the complex. But the situation that made it possible for residents or small children to be hit made Alex lead the criminal to the highway. And Alex did it. But the suspicious man was very astute. How to drive it is also very great. So Alex was blocked by a taxi and instead hit him.
"s**t," said Alex, hitting the steering wheel. Then he was very surprised to see that the taxi had a passenger. Alex immediately tried to save the woman. He saw that the woman was still a little conscious, but she didn't have the strength to come out. Finally Alex broke the window, opened the door and dragged the girl out of the car.
"Don't take me to the hospital. They will find me," the girl said. Alex didn't understand why the girl said that. What about the wound if he doesn't take the girl to the hospital. But before fainting, the girl again begged not to be taken to the hospital. Finally Alex put the girl in his car. Alex also checked the driver. It turned out that no one was there.
"How did this taxi get here?" someone asked confused.
"Who are you?" asked Alex.
"I'm the driver of this taxi. At that time I was going to the toilet. After hearing the crash I came here and the taxi car is here."
The driver's testimony made Alex believe that the man he was chasing was not alone. Someone else was watching and blocking Alex's path on purpose using the taxi. Really, really sly.
