Jennifer woke up. She felt pain in her head and all over her body. Jennifer's chest hurts and it's hard to breathe. Jennifer also couldn't move, she could only stare resignedly at the full moon peeking out from behind the dark clouds.
'I will die.'
The sentence filled Jennifer's mind. Tears flowed from the corners of her eyes. There are no words to describe how she feels right now. Betrayed and killed by the people she loved. Dumped in a dark place full of wild beasts. If she died, maybe her body would rot in that place to a bone. Or later wild animals and scavengers will tear her body and eat it in separate places. The bones will separate in several places. So pathetic.
Jennifer looked back at the sky. Her mind wandered to Max. The boy she once loved. At that time they both worked in a cafe. But their first meeting was not there. To be precise the two of them collided on the road.
At that time Jennifer had just arrived in town. She is looking for a new job vacancy. However, she must find a job in order to meet the needs of her sister, Janeth. Whatever she will do as long as that person is willing to accept Jennifer's shortcomings. Being born mute since childhood makes it difficult for Jennifer to find a job. Almost everyone refused him to work. Even if there are people who feel sorry for and accept him, the work will not last long. Because people tend to laugh at their shortcomings. Not a few people who deliberately humiliate or harass him. The mute and beautiful Jennifer is of course the target of abuse victims. They didn't know that Jennifer had learned martial arts to protect herself. So that when Jennifer fights the abuse, they will make false accusations and frame Jennifer as the guilty person. Not infrequently Jennifer is also harassed by her own boss. Surprisingly, no one was willing to defend him. Even though they know the truth of what happened. Jennifer's silence made everyone reluctant to have anything to do with her. In the end, Jennifer often lost her job. Sometimes she gets fired, sometimes she stops working himself.
Until one rainy night, Jennifer slipped and fell into someone's arms. The man's name was Max. Max quickly caught Jennifer's body, so they both embraced in the rain. The two stared at each other for a long time, until they both realized and released their grip.
As a thank you, Jennifer bought dinner. They started getting to know each other. There's not much that Max tells about other than the fact that Max doesn't have a family. Lives alone and looking for work.
"Is it true that you're also looking for work," Jennifer asked through the writing on the paper.
Max nodded. "I'll do anything. And I happen to have an acquaintance who owns a cafe. If you want you can work."
"I'm not sure. I'm mute and I'm used to rejection. But I'll try." Said Jennifer on paper.
"Great. I'm happy to be working with you. We'll get along," Max said to Jennifer's delight. After dinner Jennifer and Max went to the cafe in question. It turned out that the cafe owner immediately accepted. Jennifer was very happy and thanked Max.
"I'm glad I could help you," Max said, rubbing Jennifer's head. Max's warm and caring treatment made Jennifer immediately like Max. They both go to work together and choose the same work shift. After the cafe closed the two went home together on foot. The two of them enjoyed the evening together until Jennifer got home.
Every day the routine repeats itself. Day by day the relationship between the two is getting closer. Max's attention makes Jennifer fall in love. They often spend time together. One night Max made a birthday cake. Inside the cake is a card that expresses Max's love for Jennifer.
"Will you be my lover?" Max asked.
Jennifer immediately nodded without thinking. They both hug and kiss passionately. Since then Jennifer feels her life is colorful. She felt happy and excited. Until then something happened to Max. Max's house is on fire. Jennifer is forced to take Max to stay at her house and introduces Max to Janeth.
Everything went smoothly, but the problems kept coming. Max said goodbye to stop working. He said he would move to a higher paying place for the future for both of them. Jennifer wasn't suspicious at all. Because Max kept coming to pick him up every time he came home from work. But it only lasted a month. The following month Max started to change. He wasn't as warm and caring as he used to be. Jennifer should have been suspicious, because she often found Max at home alone with Janeth. But Jennifer is always positive. As a result she was completely betrayed.
Jennifer burst into tears. Her chest was getting tighter and it was difficult to breathe. She was completely helpless. All is over. She hopes to meet her parents in heaven. At the same time Jennifer is no longer breathing.
There was the sound of a dog howling in the distance. Soon the sound of the dog getting closer and running towards Jennifer's body. He sniffed Janeth's body then howled. After a while, an old man walked up to him. He checked Jennifer's condition.
"We're late. He's dead," the man said. He saw the locket around Jennifer's neck.
The red necklace pendant suddenly cracked. The liquid inside drained and seeped into one of the cuts on Jennifer's shoulder. Within seconds Jennifer was seen sighing.
"Amazing," said the old man. He removed the plastic that was still partially covering Jennifer's body. Then slowly he lifted Jennifer's body and carried her away from there.
Not far from the old man a car was parked. A man waited nervously at the car door. The master has been gone for an hour, but has not returned. He would have almost chased if he hadn't seen the shadow of the man with a dog nearby. The man immediately ran and replaced Jennifer carrying.
"What happened?" the man asked.
"As we thought. Max killed him. Strangely Janeth was with the boy."
"Then, shall we sue both of them?" asked the man named Thomas.
"No. We'd better focus on the important things. Let's take her home. This girl managed to rise from the dead," said the old man.
"All right, Mr. Jims," said Thomas. He put Jennifer in the back seat of the car with Chucky, the dog who had managed to track down Jennifer.
"Keep everything that happened tonight. If tonight's events leak out. We will lose this girl. And I will fail to protect what my best friend has fought for."
"All right. Mr. Jims." Thomas immediately took the car back to the house. During the trip the car's license plate and car color change automatically. That way, no one would be able to track their whereabouts. If in the future someone investigates the search for Jennifer's whereabouts.
