Sole Heir

Jims called Thomas. News of Alex's house fire worries Jims. "What is it?" asked Thomas who didn't know about Alex's house fire. "Something happened. Someone seems to have set Alex's house on fire. Who is the real enemy?" Thomas was surprised at what Jims said. If Alex's house caught fire where would Jennifer live. "I'll look for them," said Thomas. "Wait. Don't be rash. Maybe when Jennie introduces herself as Jennie Cole Alex will automatically think that Jennie is my daughter. Alex will take responsibility." "Who exactly is Alex. Why are you defending that man so much? Is it because he's the only son of the Hamilton family?" asked Thomas. He had tracked down who Alex was, but all he found was the fact that Alex only worked as a novelist. While running away from the wealthy Hamilton family. Alex doesn't want to use his father's property. He works as a novelist and is famous. Besides that Alex did not get any data. There was once an issue if Alex worked as a policeman and got an award, but there was no news about it either. "You know why Alex stepped out of his father's lavish protection?" Jims could no longer hide the fact of who Alex really was. "I don't know. Except for the fact that her stepmother likes Alex and teases her a lot. While her stepbrother is after the heir position." Thomas was desperate. "Alex is like us. He's an official police agent. All data about him has been deleted. He left the Hamilton family because his father wanted Alex to hold the company. But Alex wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a secret police officer. His father and I were business friends. So I know the story of the quarrel. them. Trust me to believe in him. I'm going to meet Alex without Jennie knowing. Do you remember the mayor's wedding?" asked Jim. Thomas nodded. "Invite Vivian in my place to the party. Most likely Alex will be there with Jennie. Remember, don't bring your personal feelings when you meet them. I know you like Jennie." Thomas was silent. He did like Jennifer, but he would never stop Jennifer from liking anyone. Thomas just wanted Jennifer to be happy. Seeing all that had happened to the girl he loved, Thomas thought not to be a burden to Jennifer. He realized that love cannot be forced. Therefore, Jennifer is free to love anyone. Meanwhile, Jennifer is busy opening wedding gifts that have not been opened before. She looked like a child who had never received a gift. "You're so happy," said Alex. She only saw Jennifer's behavior since earlier. "I've never received this many gifts. You could say it's the first time." "Aren't you curious, who sent it and why they gave you a present?" "The answer is clear. It must be because you are a famous writer. What's more!?? I didn't expect your fans to be rich," said Jennifer. Alex just shook his head. He wanted to sleep because he was tired. But someone who barged in made him unable to sleep well. Jennifer, who was very surprised that two people had entered, immediately stood up. She was very shocked to see who had come. How could the richest man in this country walk into their room. "Are you a fan of Alex too?" Jennifer asked innocently. Alex almost laughed at Jennifer's words. Bryan took a chair for Hamilton to sit down. Jennifer just silently waited. Alex sat on the edge of the bed. "How long have you lived here?" Hamilton's voice sounded scary. Jennifer was confused by the situation. Actually what is the relationship between Hamilton and Alex. "Is this your wife?" Hamilton asked. "Right," said Alex. Hamilton looked at Jennifer. Of course, that gaze succeeded in making Jennifer feel nervous. "Going home. You don't have a home anymore Alex." "That's none of your business. I can still buy another house," said Alex. "You've failed. You can't prove anything to me. What are you going to give your wife? She doesn't just need love. But comfort and money too," Hamilton said. "Not all women are like that. Don't interfere in my family's affairs. I will never come back. Isn't there already your favorite wife and filial son," said Alex. "You!?!" Hamilton's face was red with anger. Bryan reminded Hamilton to calm down. His heart could relapse. After that Bryan asked Hamilton to relent. Without another word Hamilton walked out while Bryan stared at Alex. "This is your mother's house. I understand you are very disappointed and hurt. That's why I keep all your mother's property in this house. Maybe you forgot, there you first saw this world. Share this house with your wife. This is only a gift from me for your marriage. And... Don't forget me young master. Whenever you need me, I will always be there." Bryan looked down and left. Jennifer, who had been frozen for a while, suddenly felt suffocated by seeing all the scenes that were now happening in front of her. She could already conclude that Alex was the sole heir to the Hamilton family. I don't know what happened, Alex didn't want to go back to his house. Jennifer had indeed heard that Hamilton's young wife was infatuated with Hamilton's own son. That meant the woman who had come in the middle of the night was Alex's stepmother. "I'm sorry. You've seen everything. I feel ashamed of this family," said Alex bowed. "Why should you be ashamed? Everything that happened was not what you wanted. Forget it. How about we pack up and see your mother's house," Jennifer said. Alex looked at Jennifer. The sad look on his face slowly disappeared. "You want to live there. I think it hasn't been occupied in a long time and is still a house with an old building." "Wow. That's really interesting. I'm getting curious. But how do we pack," Jennifer was confused. "Don't worry. I will ask one of the hotel employees. Honestly, I can say that this hotel belongs to my father," said Alex with an embarrassed face. Jennifer realizes that Alex is not someone who likes to boast of his family's wealth. It seems that he is more pleased with the results of his own hard work. "Let's go there," said Alex. Jennifer nodded. Both immediately checked out of the hotel. By riding a motorbike they went to a house on the edge of a lake. The view of the house is very beautiful. "Look, this house is neglected. How do we start cleaning it?" asked Alex. "Everything if you think about it will not be finished. So let's do it," Jennifer said as she threw a broom which was immediately caught by Alex. "I'm curious. Can the prince of the Hamilton family, who is very rich and famous, be able to sweep his own yard!?!" Jennifer teases Alex. "What?" Alex was annoyed and exasperated by Jennifer's words. He chased after Jennifer with a broom in his hand. Of course Jennifer ran away so the two of them chased after laughing.
