Jennifer was exhausted. The whole house was successfully cleaned in almost 12 hours. Luckily all the furniture in the house is still intact and has been protected. So that everything is still good and can be used.
"I already called a worker to clean the lawn full of weeds. So you don't have to do it," said Alex. He gave the mineral water to Jennifer.
"Good idea," Jennifer said with a smile. Jennifer's face and body were wet with sweat.
Alex sat next to Jennifer and drank the same water. It was then that the car carrying their luggage from the hotel had arrived. Alex immediately asked them to arrange the items in the appropriate place.
"I'm going to the market to cook dinner tonight," Jennifer said.
"You don't have to. I ordered food online." Alex caught Jennifer.
"Okay then. What am I going to do now?" Jennifer asked.
"Nothing. You're just gathering energy for the party tonight."
"You're kidding. Do you think a party is a war," Jennifer laughed. But actually deep down she already knew what Alex meant.
At the party, Hamilton's extended family will be present. Of course Alex's stepmother and stepsisters. Jennifer could understand how tired Alex was with the two of them. Jennifer will not stand still as the two try to destroy Alex's feelings.
Jennifer showered and started making preparations for the party. The previously hired make up artist had to be cancelled. Because Alex's money is limited. While the clothes and shoes ordered were paid for so they both arrived on time.
Jennifer looked at herself in the mirror. With a make-up tutorial and hair styling for a party, she did it herself. All make-up and tools for make-up are already on the table. So Jennifer just needed the courage to do it.
Jennifer has never done makeup like an expert make up artist, therefore she will not take the risk by making her face as an experimental material. Jennifer does standard makeup for beginners. Then she also chose the simplest and easiest hairstyle to do for the party. Jennifer just pulled her hair up. Then decorated with long earrings that matched her long neck. Sexy lip color lipstick is the choice. Don't forget Jennifer also wore diamond jewelry as a wedding gift from a diamond craftsman shop. Lastly, Jennifer also wore their wedding rings. Don't forget the expensive wedding gift bags.
Jennifer looked at herself in the mirror. She had to admit, Jennifer's new face was really perfect. Her body also looks slimmer and sexier. Thomas had made many changes while she was unconscious.
"Are you ready?" asked Alex.
Jennifer turned. She was very impressed to see Alex's handsomeness in a tuxedo suit. Vice versa, Alex was amazed by Jennifer's beauty.
"I'm ready," Jennifer said.
"Okay. Let's go."
Jennifer stepped beside Alex. She was very surprised to see a Porsche in the yard.
"Where did you get the car?" Jennifer asked. Because all this time Alex had refused his father's gift.
"It's my mother's. I've had the service this afternoon," said Alex.
Alex opened the door for Jennifer. Alex's attitude is very romantic. Then he immediately sat behind the wheel. The two of them immediately headed for the party which was held in a large building. All the guests wear luxurious clothes. So are their vehicles. Many dignitaries and important people including rich people were present.
Jennifer was a little nervous. She had never come to such a luxurious and classy party. She gasped for breath over and over again. Alex, noticing Jennifer's tension, immediately said, "If you feel uncomfortable. We'll be home early. Take it easy. Just act normal.
Alex's words brought Jennifer's confidence back. She came out the door with a cheerful and shining face. Don't forget Jennifer wrapped her arm around Alex's arm. To impress spoiled and friendly.
Arriving at the door Alex was greeted by the receptionist. They asked for an invitation card made of gold. Of course Alex didn't have it. Because the gold card ran out when the house caught fire.
"I lost the card. My house caught fire two days ago," said Alex.
"Sorry, sir. We are not allowed to let people without an invitation into the room," said the receptionist.
"Oh, really? It doesn't matter to me. I'm actually happy, the important thing is that I've come here and you prove it if the mayor asks me about it one day." Alex smiled happily. Finally he had a reason not to attend the wedding.
"Come on, honey. We're going home," Alex said to Jennifer.
They both breathed a sigh of relief. Finally free from discomfort.
"Wait a minute, sir." The receptionist restrained Alex's steps.
"Madam welcomes you in. Incidentally, she saw you there," pointed the receptionist upstairs. It turned out that the mayor's wife saw him coming.
Alex and Jennifer were forced to reenter. The two of them walked into the room and became the center of everyone's attention. Especially the girls who looked enviously at Jennifer. Because, Alex has always been the target of everyone. Therefore, when Alex came with Jennifer the previously quiet room had now turned a little bustling with the whispers of several people.
"Welcome Alex. Long time no see," said the mayor's wife.
"I'm well." Alex answered curtly. "This is my wife Jenny."
The mayor's wife looks surprised. She looked at Jenny intensely.
"It's so beautiful. No wonder you don't want our daughter. Lucky your sister tonight is side by side with my partner," said the mayor again.
Jennifer was surprised. It turns out that the bride is Alex's half sister. Why was Alex acting casual and not telling Jennifer.
"Congratulations to you. Isn't it your dream to join our family. Meanwhile, I'm not the Hamilton family anymore. So congratulations," said Alex.
The mayor's wife leaves. Jennifer had no idea how Alex was feeling. Because if tonight is a wedding reception, when the wedding took place Alex was not invited. Or maybe invited but he didn't come.
The two brides left, followed by Hamilton's extended family and the mayor's extended family. Jennifer immediately tightened her grip on Alex's arm. Alex should have been among them, but instead Alex was in the line of invitations.
But there was something that surprised Jennifer the most. In the Hamilton family row she saw Max there. There was also a woman who was similar to the woman in the photo Damian had given her. Near them were also some beautiful women.
"Alex, isn't that the woman in Damian's photo," Jennifer whispered.
"I know. Act normal. Do you remember!?! I'll tell you at home," said Alex.
