I have my own Jeep which I got already. I know super young since I'm only 18. But I will be going to college soon and with us being "magical" we get a pass. Mom has a Mercedes and dad has a Ford truck and we have a family Yukon. We always travel in the Yukon when we go on road trips. My parents are pretty loaded since they are high ranked and are a huge importance to our kingdom. Mom and dad are always busy but they make sure they have time for me. Dad has trained me all my life on how to fight while mom has taught me how to survive within nature and using potions. They've drilled spells and incantations in my mind so that I can remember them just in case I am in danger. I have to learn how to use them when my emotions take a toll on me.
Lately for some reason my emotions have been going crazy and I realized I can move things with my mind and create fire with a snap of my fingers. I just turned 18 a few days ago and I am guessing that's when you start to feel your powers coming in. Mom and dad think it’s my angelic powers but when I launched a fireball at the window the other day they weren't sure. Mom has been doing a lot of research on me and of course we have to keep this a secret from everyone. I will never lose to my emotions and endanger the ones that I love. We must never tell anyone who I really am and wherever I came from. Witch folk really just keep to themselves, so my parents don’t know much about demon and angel powers, but I feel like they’re lying about it, who knows.
I have a childhood friend named Jax and he's a werewolf. We are inseparable. His family lives in Las Vegas and they are known as rogues. I guess they originated out of country and came to America to start a new life. There is a pack here in Las Vegas, but his parents do not want to deal with any type of packs ever. He’s an only child and we have been best friends since. We both went to the same middle school and High School nut for college we will be separated since I have to go to a different school out of country. Jax is the only person I have told that knows I am half demon and half angel. Everyone else thinks I’m a witch.
“You know you’re going to miss me Jax”, I said.
“Of course I’m going to miss you, you're my best friend Kana. And to make things even worse, you’re going to a High School completely in a different country then me” cried Jax.
“It’s so unfair! I wish we could be together forever”, I said.
“We will still keep in touch and hangout during the summer as usual and nothing will change between the both of us. Maybe I can come and visit you there in Italy”? asked Jax.
“That sounds like the best idea you’ve ever said to me. You can come get me when break is over and we will fly back home together. That way we can hangout for a few days in Italy and then fly back home for the holidays." I said.
“Sounds good to me” says Jax.
I will miss him so much. He understands me very well, but I am so ready to go to school and start a new journey.
“Kana let’s go we need to load the car and be off soon.” yells mom.
“Okay okay”, I bark back.
As we sit next to each other we finally realize it’s time to say goodbye for a few days til I come back to pack for college.
“I don’t know why I need to go to this council meeting with my parents. It’s going to be such a bore and I’d rather stay here with you til they come back.” I say to Jax.
“Just go with your parents since they want to spend some quality time with you before you leave for school. You know they are going to miss you as much as I will” Jax whispers.
“Fine fine, I am going! I will see you in a few days okay?”, I say to Jax.
“Okay” Jax whispers sadly.
We hug and I watch him run home as I turn around and start packing for this trip to the council meeting with my parents.
