Rules

I can’t believe this girl has the nerve to grab me. I twist my arm around to where I’m holding just above her elbow and pull her in to me. “I would comment on your looks but you’re wearing so much makeup it’s hard to tell you what you actually look like under there.” I shove her back. “Don’t ever put your hands on me again.” I start walking back towards the house. The longer I walk the angrier I get. Who the hell does that girl think she is? She called him Damon and he didn’t correct her, he demands respect from everyone so they must have been in a relationship. They had to be close for her to feel she could call him by his name only and not his title. I get up to Damon’s room and slam the door, he comes walking in only a minute later. “I’m sorry about that Arora, I’ve explained to Annabella that you are my mate and that won’t happen again.” He’s not getting off that easy “Who is she? She must be your girlfriend since she calls you by your name and was under the impression she was going to be the Luna of your pack. Were you in a relationship with her when you brought me back here?” I ask insistently needing answers “Yes she and I were in a relationship. I didn’t think I had a mate and my father wanted me to make her Luna.” He tells me. I’m glad he’s being honest but I also want to rip his head off. “Have you slept with her? In your bed? Did she stay in here with you?” I look over where I slept last night absolutely disgusted “Yes.” That’s all he says. I get up and throw his TV remote into the wall watching the broken pieces hit the floor. I don’t think I’ve ever been this angry before. “So let me get this straight Damon. You let me sleep in the bed that you f****d another girl in, you didn’t tell her about me until now, and she was your girlfriend and future Luna? Is that about right?” I yell “You don’t have a right to be angry about events that happened before you Arora. I will not judge you for the things you’ve done before me.” He slams his hand down on the table “Oh but it wasn’t before me was it Damon because you were still in a relationship with her until 15 minutes ago! And what things that I’ve done before you? I’ve done nothing, literally nothing with anyone else!” I can’t stop yelling at him He jumps off the couch and practically runs over to me. “You really are perfect in every way, aren’t you? Arora I was so caught up in having a mate I forgot about Annabelle completely. She was a place holder I didn’t have any feelings for her I was only with her because it’s what my father asked of me. You are the only woman I have eyes for now, nobody before you matters. Nobody before you compares.” He rubs my cheek. “I don’t want to sleep in that bed Damon, that’s gross.” I tell him with no room for argument “I will have a new mattress and comforter set brought in while we are out, come on there’s something I want to show you.” He takes my hand leading me out of the room. We go down the stairs and he leads me to the back of the house. There is a very large garden growing different kinds of fruits and vegetables. He leads me past the garden to a trail leading into the woods. We walk for about 10 minutes and come up on a huge lake. There’s a dock leading out to the water and at the end of a dock is a blanket with a basket set on it. “You set up a picnic?” I scoff not believing what I’m seeing “Both times you got upset at the palace you went to the lake. I figured it was a place you enjoyed so I wanted to show you we have one here for you.” He tells me “That’s.. really sweet Damon, thank you. Let’s go see what’s in that basket because I’m starving.” I smile up at him We walk to the end of the dock and sit on opposite sides of the blanket. Damon opens the basket and pulls out three plates. Two contain a perfectly made sandwich and the third has a large piece of chocolate cake on it. “Sandwiches and cake, perfect picnic food.” I laugh “I’ve never taken someone on a picnic so I wasn’t really sure what to pack” he looked embarrassed “No I was joking you did really great. The food is perfect and the view is perfect. This is really nice I’m happy you brought me here.” I like this Damon. We sit in silence while we eat overlooking the lake. It is amazing, it is in the middle of the forest but the water is almost clear. I can tell this will be my favorite place here. “Arora I need to go over some things with you.” Damon says snapping me back into reality. “Ok..” I say because this doesn’t sound like I’m going to like what he says “There are rules here. Rules that everyone must follow. The first is that curfew is at 8, everyone in the pack is the be home by 8 no exceptions. The second is to never look my father in the eyes. He sees it as disrespectful especially from women..” I cut him off immediately “First of all, I haven’t had a curfew since I was 18. I am not a child Damon that is an absolutely ridiculous rule. What happens if I am not back on time?” I ask “You’ll be locked out of the house and have to sleep outside for the night.” I laugh because this has to be a joke “Oh no, what ever will a Lycan do being stuck outside for a night.” I say sarcastically and rolling my eyes “You’ll also be faced with punishment, anyone who breaks curfew is to receive 5 licks.” He has the be joking “Haha you’re serious? And what about this s**t with your father?” I stand up. “Damon I don’t usually hold rank over people’s heads but I am of the highest rank here. I can’t believe I actually fell for this stupid picnic. I’m going back and I wish to have my own room tonight and possibly for nights to come.” I start to walk back “Regardless of your rank this is my pack and you will follow the rules given to you, Princess.” He snaps I start laughing and before I can stop myself I flip him off “Go f**k yourself, Alpha.” I say laughing as I walk away There is no way I can stay here. I can’t stand him, I need to call Kira.
