Damon
Who the f**k is Rex and what is he expecting her to say yes about? "Who the f**k is Rex?"
She shifted so that she can look me in the eye "he is someone I met at work today"
Is that she's going to give me? Someone she met at work? "He's texting you, wishing you a goodnight and wishing you would say yes to God knows what and you tell me he's just someone you met at work!!"
She sat up from her lying position on my body "calm down Damon, he's just a guy trying to shoot his shot"
I pinched the bridge of my nose "just a guy trying to shoot his shot? He has your number Camilla... You gave him your number, which looks like an encouragement to me Camilla!!"
Her face twisted in anger "what the f**k is your problem!!!" She bent down and started buckling her shoe while muttering under her breath "I don't have time for this nonsense, and am definitely not signing up for the same damn thing again"
She picked up the second shoe but I snatched it forcefully from her "what the f**k are you doing?"
"What does it look like am doing?"She hissed
Flinging the shoe across the room, I stood up "you can't just dress up to leave in the middle of a discussion"
"Discussion? Are you kidding me?" She yanked her hair backwards and held it with a band that mysteriously appeared on her wrist. "You call this discussion? If this is your idea of discussion, then you are definitely sick"
I took two deep breaths to calm myself. We are both angry and it isn't going to get us anywhere. "I just need to know who this guy is cariño"
She laughed loudly "it's cariano now isn't it... Because am leaving right? It's cariano because am f*****g leaving"
"Jesus... Camilla am trying to end this f*****g argument!!! Okay!!!"
She glared at me "you know what?" She bent down and started unbuckling her shoe. I guess we are getting somewhere since she's no longer leaving but she surprised me when she threw the shoe directly to my face but I was fast enough to dodge it.
"What the f**k b***h!!!???"
"So am now a b***h? f**k you Damon!!! f**k you, you sloppy blood sucking retarded bastard"
I could see the pain evident on her face and I regretted calling her b***h "am sorry I called you a bitch...I was just talking out of anger" I took another deep breath as I ran my hand through my hair "I believe you, he's a guy you met at work today but I want you to block his number and delete it"
She crossed her arms together "why should I do that? So I should delete his number just to appease your f*****g ego?"
I ran my hand through my hair again "it has nothing to do with my ego, it's something every rational young woman would do"
"Really Damon? Really? A rational woman would delete a number of a man she just met over the other she just also met?"
I closed my eyes tightly and counted to five before opening it again "so am just a guy you just met? You are comparing our relationship with that guy? Really Camilla?"
"Relationship? Don't forget we never labeled this relationship so don't stand there and tell me s**t"
Is she f*****g serious? "What is there to define Camilla? You know how I feel about you and what I want from you right from day one. So what's this s**t about us not defining our relationship?"
She didn't utter any other word; she simply carried her bag and walked out the door without her shoes. I stood in the center of my living room, wondering how this date went down the drain. I contemplated letting her go, I didn't sign up for this. But on a second thought, I grabbed my car keys and went after her. I rode the other elevator down.
I looked around but didn't see any sign of her.
"Did you see the lady whom my driver brought few hours ago?" I asked Steven the door man
"Yes sir, she just left with a taxi"
Fuck!!!
"Is everything okay sir?" He asked confusing my angry face to be a troubled one
"Everything is okay Steven"
I didn't go after her. Going after her will be a waste of time. I am still angry and so is she. So trying to reach to an agreement today isn't going to be possible. I rode back up to my apartment and made Jameson my companion for tonight.
For the past two days, Camilla refused to pick my calls or reply any of my text messages and I have stubbornly refused to pay her a visit either at her house or in her working place. So here I am staring at my phone every minute, hoping that she'll call.
Five minutes later, my ring tone filled the room. I picked up the phone quickly but felt a wave of disappointment when I saw Vincent's name on the callers display. I picked it up with less euphuism. "Vincent"
His laughter filled my ear "always too formal Damon aren't we?"
"Am working Vincent, why did you call?"
He chuckled at my directness "it's Friday Damon, almost weekend. You should have lesser work today"
"I want to believe that is not the reason why you called me"
I heard him talk to someone in the background and with what he is saying; I ruled it out to be his girlfriend Alexa. He talked to her for almost a minute before returning his attention to me.
"Yeah you're right, that's not the reason why I called. Alexa thought we should remind you about the engagement party tomorrow, so you know... You won't go to work on that day"
"Tomorrow is Saturday" I deadpanned
He released a ladylike snort "you work even on Sundays Damon, so don't play the weekend card on me"
"Fine, thanks for the reminder although it wasn't needed"
"In your case, it's highly needed. Make sure you bring that young lady you've been talking my ear off about okay?"
I scratched my jaw although it was beardless "about that, I don't think she's going to come"
"That took longer than I expected"
I raised my brows "what are you talking about?"
"Your fight or separation as the case may be with that young lady"
My secretary knocked and poked her head in. "Sir your ten o clock is ready"
"Hold it" I turned my attention back to Vincent "you were anticipating our fight?"
"Not that I was anticipating it, but with the way you were going, I knew you were going to mess it up. So what did you do?"
"We had this fight over a guy she met at her working place. He texted her during our date two days ago"
"And?"
Fuck, narrating it to somebody else is making me see how stupidly I acted. "I read the text and I flipped"
"By flipping you mean?"
"I accused her of encouraging the man and demanded she deletes his number__"
"So she got angry and left" he finished it up for me. "You think she's cheating on you right?"
I rubbed my hands down my face "You know how I feel about that"
"This is my advice Damon, everybody isn't her, and not all girls will cheat on their partner. Always keep that in mind when you are with that young lady. And knowing you, you only called and texted right?"
"Yes"
"Pay her a visit asshole and please buy some flowers or chocolate on your way"
"Fine, I'll visit her after work today"
"Okay, with that out of the way, I saw someone who looks exactly like Adriana today at the airport"
I sat upright "you saw who at the airport?"
"Adriana, the same lady you showed me her pictures"
"Vincent I need to go, I have to confirm what you just told me" I ended the call and began to think of the possibilities of Adriana being here in New York. But knowing how crazy she is, there is every possibility of her being here. f**k!!!
